Wallingford CT to Convert 3 Tennis Courts into 8 Pickleball Courts for $60K in 2022

In response to residents’ growing demand for more Pickleball, the Town Council of Wallingford quickly approved $60K for a project to convert three existing tennis courts into EIGHT Pickleball courts. Bidding was open from Feb 1- March 1, 2022. As of Feb 10, thirty companies had already reviewed the RFP documents. The town Parks and Recreation department is requiring the work to be completed by June 30, 2022.

(How great to see town politicians proactively identifying existing resources for cost effective conversions to Pickleball!)
