About the Town of Greenwich Adult Pickleball Clinics

One Intermediate AND one Beginner Clinic is available each session. Both clinics are normally oversubscribed.

The Town of Greenwich Parks and Rec department offers outdoor “Beginner & Intermediate Pickleball” clinics Spring, Summer & Fall at Loughlin Park, and indoors during winter at Western Civic Center.

Adults Only: There is no parks & rec youth ‘learn to play’ Pickleball program in Greenwich, however several public schools have introduced Pickleball in gym classes. Note that the program write up by the town specifies 18 and up for these clinics, but the registration system currently allows 16 and up. You may want to clarify with the town.

Affordable! Clinics consist of five, 1.5 hour classes for $65. Yes, it went up in 2025 by $5. (Compare that with the YWCA Beginner Clinic, four, 1.5 hour sessions for $150.)

Registration: Registration is required. No dropins allowed. The person registering must be the person who attends, no ‘subs’.

Residency: Greenwich residents have priority - and TBH, this program always fills with residents. Here’s how to verify your Greenwich resident status.

Popular! These $65 clinics for Greenwich residents are so popular that you must be online the minute these sessions open for registration - 10AM on registration day - or you will not get a spot!

Instruction: Instruction for Beginners focuses on the fundamentals of the game, review of the rules, and implementation in games. Those that progress quickly will receive more advanced beginner instruction and will be grouped accordingly.

Instruction for the Intermediate Clinic will focus on skill development and strategy in games.

There are no town sponsored clinics beyond the intermediate level. You’ll need to go outside of Greenwich or hire private instructors to improve your game beyond the 3.5 level. Pickleball America (indoor) and the Italian Center in Stamford (outdoor) offer clinics at all levels.
