Demand for Pickleball courts leads to conversion of Har-Tru tennis courts - and controversy

Take a minute to read this great article about communities in Florida that are successfully converting some of their Har-Tru tennis courts to Pickleball. Many claim that Har-Tru is easier on the body and knees.

Unfortunately these communities are banned from the area Pickleball league because they don’t have the league required number of hard surface courts.

They’re fighting back with their own league - and they know which outdoor ball works best on Har-Tru. (Hint, it’s from Onix.)

Here in Greenwich, CT, Greenwich Country Club has made use of their Har-Tru courts for Pickleball, but without fully converting them. Are there other clubs trying something similar?
