Other Pickleball Programs & Courts in Greenwich
Below is a list of Pickleball courts & programs that are NOT part of Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation, but are located IN Greenwich. This list does not include the more exclusive private club-based pickleball programs.
Both the YWCA Greenwich and the Greenwich YMCA are now offering Pickleball. Yay!
In general, costs are higher for these alternatives to the public Parks & Recreation Pickleball programs if you are not a member of the facility.
YWCA Greenwich Pickleball Courts & Programs
YWCA Greenwich Pickleball is back!
Originally launched and led by by Betsy Underhill, the program was suspended during COVID. Then hurricane Ida hit in 2021 and put the gym under water and out of commission until early 2022.
YWCA Pickleball Courts
The YWCA offers both indoor and outdoor Pickleball courts.
Outdoor - Two Courts: One of the two outdoor tennis courts has been lined for Pickleball and portable nets are available. The outdoor courts close for the winter and are unavailable in the summer during YWCA summer camp.
Indoor - Four Courts: The YWCA gym has been refurbished with a new, easy on the joints surface. You’ll want to check it out! (Only available for play during pickleball programs.) The extra interior white lines you seen in the photo accommodate badminton.

There are many indoor open Pickleball play sessions at YWCA Greenwich, accommodating various levels.

How to Play Pickleball at YWCA of Greenwich
For YWCA Members: Open format indoor play and outdoor court reservations are included with Full YWCA Memberships. Pickleball at the YW is most affordable for members.
For Affiliate Members: Affiliate members can purchase a single day pass for $20 in order to access open play, indoors, or to reserve the outdoor Pickleball courts.
YMCA Greenwich Drop-in Pickleball
The YMCA of Greenwich launched a Pickleball program in Fall of 2021 and it quickly took off.
According to the YMCA website as of March 1, 2023, free Drop-in Member Pickleball is being played indoors at the YMCA of Greenwich on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 - 11:30AM. It is suggested that intermediates play from 8:30 -10:30 and beginners from 10:30-11:30. The program is held in the gym on two taped-lined courts.
Note that the times/days listed on the YMCA Pickleball page do NOT correspond to the listings on the YMCA program schedule, so best to check in first.
This program is for YMCA members only BUT non-members can purchase a day pass for $20 that will let you play AND use all the YM facilities (pool/gym etc) and take wellness classes on that day.
